Can the Handy Line be folded away when not in use, and if so, how?
The Handy Line folds away flat for easy storage. It can be stored behind a door, hung on a wall or kept under a bed. It can also fit inside most medium to larger sized vehicles for easy transport.
How much line capacity does the Handy Line offer?
It can handle a full load of washing including large items like bed sheets. The large line offers 16 metres of usable line space, the small line 10 metres. The lines are well spaced to reduce clothes being too close together which speeds the drying process.
How will the Handy Line help me improve power consumption?
The Handy Line will effectively and efficiently deliver an environmentally friendly solution that will reduce your power bills as well as reduce the carbon footprint of your household. It replaces the need for electric dryers, even with large items such as sheets which traditionally do not fit conventional clothes drying racks.
Is it possible to re-tension the lines?
Yes, this can be easily done by undoing the knot at the end of the cross bar and gently pulling the line through making sure not to pull it too tightly.
Is the Handy Line easy to assemble?
No assembly is required. The Handy Line is delivered fully assembled and ready to use.
Is the Handy Line heavy?
Without any laundry, the Handy Line weighs 3 kg (large) and 2.6kg (small), making it easy to move from one area to another. For the majority of people it can be comfortable carried in one hand.
Can the Handy Line handle extreme weather conditions?
The Handy Line is built to handle tough weather conditions. It is designed for durability - every nut, bolt and washer is stainless steel, the main bar, cross bars and legs are powder coated (oven treatment) aluminium and the clothesline is PVC covered plaited fibre (not plastic coated wire) making the product weather and rust proof.
Is the Handy Line still effective in damp or humid weather conditions?
During cool and wet weather the Handy Line can be used indoors to capitalise on indoor heating, and generally clothes will dry overnight. By using the Handy Line, customers can reduce or eliminate the use of an electric dryer resulting in huge savings on energy bills and clothing lasts longer.
Will the Handy Line blow over in windy conditions?
The Handy Line has a unique stance and is very sturdy but common sense has to prevail as it is free standing. If it is very windy it is advisable to place the Handy Line in an enclosed area or tether the clothes line to the ground. If planning to go out, as weather conditions can change suddenly, it is advisable to place it in a protected area. On a normal breezy wash day it works well.
